Favourite time of the year | Christmas

Guess who needs some self tanner?! Yes, me! Although it is winter and there is no sun to give me a tanned look, I feel like I am the new snowwhite! I only need seven dwarfs and everyone would believe it, any volunteers? I am not good at cleaning houses though, too lazy for that.
I can't believe Christmas is already over, these days went so fast!
Me and my sister flew back to the Netherlands to spend Christmas and New Years' Eve here. We went to my grandparents at Christmas' Eve and there we had dinner with the whole family! It is so lovely to see everyone together again and I got to wear this dress which I bought a year ago, I had never worn it and I thought it was time for that so I finally did!
On the first day of Christmas my boyfriend and I went to see his family. I had already eaten so much the day before but you gotta keep going! And then there was the second day of Christmas, also a lot of food but I had some space left for my favourite food, spareribs.
Although my boyfriend and I don't get to see each other that much, I am glad we can still spend these special days together.
I was already in the Christmas spirit because of all the songs on the radio and the lights on people their houses but I couldn't tell it was winter when I looked outside. There is no snow and it is so warm for December. I won't complain about that since I am always cold but it starts to feel like April.
That is no reason for me to not be in the Christmas spirit, I really enjoy this time of the year. Sometimes I feel like everyone is at their best when it is Christmas. A little bit happier and a little bit more caring for others.
If it was up to me, it would be Christmas every day!

Sleek Highlighting Palette | Midas Touch

This limited edition highlighting palette from Sleek is perfect for the holidays! It has four beautiful shades; Solitaire, Tanzanite, Rhinestone and Cubic Zirconia. Tanzanite is my favourite, the top right one. All four are very pigmented and I only use a small amount of product because I don't like an extreme highlighter, but you can build them up. The pink, blue and white one are baked powders and the silver one is a special cream formula which is really pretty. The colours are very glittery and sparkly, which I wouldn't use on an every day basis but it is perfect for Christmas and New Year's Eve! The palette comes with a small brush so you can apply it wherever you are!
I also really like the black and gold packaging, it closes by a magnet so it won't fall open in your bag. I also love that there is a good mirror inside, that is always a big advantage for me. On the back of the packaging there is a step by step guide on how and where to apply each colour, but I just applied it where I wanted it. (cause im so independent)
I find Sleek a very affordable brand for the quality you get! This is a limited edition palette which I recommend if you are looking for something festive for the holidays!

Lipstick Clinique

Clinique is a brand I often reach for, but my grandparents surprised me with this gorgeous lipstick last week! I love red lip colours, they are the ones I wear the most so I loved the colour of this lipstick immediately! It is the High Impact Lip Colour in the shade 12; red-y to wear. The colour when wearing it is a tiny bit different than how you'll see it when opening the packaging, but it's absolutely beautiful! It moisturises my lips very well and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing lipstick. This lipstick stays on for so long! I normally don't believe those promises that products stay on that long but this one really does! Of course you will see difference after eating and drinking but it still looks beautiful! The colour stays very pigmented for a very long time. Also, lets talk about this packaging, isn't it amazing?! I think it's so cool and unique.
I can't find any negative things to say about this lipstick, well done Clinique!

What's your favourite red lipstick? I'm always looking out to try new ones!

Life In England So Far

Picture: Google images.  Although I wish it was mine but my hair is not that long unfortunately.

Now I am finally a bit used to the idea of me living in England, I can say that it is 'okay'.

I personally thought there wouldn't be a lot of differences between England and the Netherlands, but I guess you notice every small thing that is different to what you're used to.
Believe me, it's more than just the language, money, driving on the other side and the breakfast. (which is not that good actually, I only like the hash browns)
For example, it's so weird walking in school here and feeling like you've stepped into the real life version of 'Mean Girls'. Is it in every school like that? Or was that also in the Netherlands and did I just not notice it? Maybe I just hoped too much for a real life 'High School Musical'. Anyway, the school system over here is much better. You don't get drowned in all the homework they give you and you've got enough time in the lessons to complete most of your work. I'm in sixth form now so I got to choose a few subjects that I wanted to do this year. I chose business, business and marketing and product fashion design textiles. I love fashion design! I hope to do something with fashion as my career in the future. I could also chose something like photography, dance, media, art etc. I think it's such a good thing to let students not only work on things like mathematics but work on their creativity as well.
School is only the first thing that's different, there are so many!
The houses look so much better in the Netherlands. I think the houses over here can look pretty good if only the people took good care of it. I also miss seeing the name plates next to the door bell. I'm so used to seeing them on every house.
I miss the Dutch 'snackbar' a lot. I should open one myself because the chips are not nice in England at all. (I'm so sorry, I do like the fish though)
Shopping is of course different as there are different shops, but I really like the shops over here! My mum and I are still comparing every shop to a similar Dutch one but I prefer shopping in England.
I also love the idea of celebrating Halloween! I went back to the Netherlands this year when everyone here was celebrating Halloween, but I really wanted to experience that!
I think it's so cool, everyone all dressed up!
The Dutch X Factor is nothing compared to this one! I love watching X factor here! (I don't know a lot of other shows to watch here) The judges are so funny and they really make it something special with performances of other famous artists.
I am going to miss 'Sinterklaas', a special day in the Netherlands on the 5th of December. Luckily, we are still going to celebrate it with our family!
These are by far not the only differences but I think there are too many to write.

As I'm still the new girl here, I just have to get used to all those different things, even the small ones. Besides that, it's going okay.
I made some friends in my school, a group of all lovely girls and I'm very thankful for them and that they didn't leave me on my own. My English is getting better but I still listen more than I speak. Sometimes I'm still afraid of if I'm saying things correctly but then I just have to remind myself: ''Your English is better than their Dutch".
I also got a job over here, yay! I really need to start saving money but I'm not really good at that, and I hope I'm not the only one! Maybe I want to start dancing again, but I am not sure yet. I think focusing on school and a job is enough to do for now.
The hardest part of moving to another country is knowing what you leave behind. Knowing that nothing will be the same anymore. I miss a lot of people from the Netherlands everyday. I just wanted to say to all of you, I love you and I miss you. ❤︎

NYC Eyeshadow Palettes | Demi Lovato Collection

When I saw these NYC palettes from Demi, I knew I had to get them!
They are called 'Lovatics'. Isn't that amazing?!
I absolutely love Demi Lovato. I think she is so talented and inspiring.
I must admit, that is the main reason I bought these NYC palettes, but not the only one!
There is a natural palette, and a showtime one. I love both of them! I just couldn't decide which one to get so I got both of them. I like the natural palette for on a regular daily basis, when I don't want my eyeshadow to be that extreme. It has a lot of different natural shades but I use every single one of them. There are loads of natural palettes like this one out there, but I highly recommend this one from NYC because it is very good quality and not expensive at all. Each palette was €9.
I bought them in the Netherlands, when I was visiting everybody I miss a lot. ❤︎
I don't know how much they cost in the UK, but there will probably not be a huge difference.
The colours of both palettes are very pigmented, more than I expected.
They come with two small applicators which I personally don't use, but it is always nice to have something straight away that you can apply the eyeshadow with.
The showtime one is for when I want my eyes to stand out more, especially for the Christmas days that are coming!
It has more dark and shiny colours and you can create a beautiful smokey eye with it. I am not really a fan of the orange colour, but that is the only thing I don't like about this palette so no complaints here!
I have not used a lot of NYC's products, but I do really like these eyeshadow palettes so I think I am going to try more of their products!

Bath Products | Ted Baker

These products are absolutely amazing! I bought the body lotion first, which is the second one in the photo. I couldn't even smell it in the store when I bought it, but I just thought the packaging itself looked amazing. When I came home, I discovered that it smells amazing too! The body lotion moisturises your skin very well, I mostly use it for my hands instead of my whole body and they feel very soft afterwards.
I bought the body spray in a mini size because I will be often going back to the Netherlands, and this is very easy for traveling. I like to use this after I've used the body wash because it is the same scent and will keep you fresh during the whole day!
The body wash and the bubble bath both look very luxurious in the bathroom and that's why I don't want to use them often, I don't want them to run out of product! With some body washes, I feel like you need a handful for just only a shoulder. Luckily with this one, that isn't the case at all, you only need a small amount and it's enough for your whole body. *yay*
The bubble bath comes in this heavy bottle which I do not want to break and I have to be really careful with. (that's not really my thing as the clumsiest person in the world)
After you poor this in your bath, angels start singing and you will enter a place called paradise. (not really but it does smells good though)
These Ted Baker products all have a minty smell and colour which I really like. I have placed them on my dressing table for now, and I love how they look on that. There is also a rose version of these products but because everything else in my room is basically pink, I chose this mint version. I don't have all the products yet but I will definitely grow my collection because I love everything so far!

Oh How I Wish I Could Afford A Pair Of Louboutins

Christian Louboutin Victoria Leather Platform Red Sole Pump

Christian Louboutin Jamie Patent Red Sole Platform Pump

Christian Louboutin Verita Asymmetric Red Sole Bootie

I believe that these are the most gorgeous shoes in the world, and I just wanted to share my love for them. It is so sad to look at these Louboutins, knowing they will never belong to me. If I owned a pair of Louboutins, I would literally never ever take them off and I would even wear them to bed every night. But then I would not want them to have any damage so that would maybe be a problem...
Unfortunately they are a little bit out of my budget as these amazing heels are all around £800 and I find everything above £25 already expensive. (That's sad, I know)
Sometimes (or every day), I wish I was Beyonce and just woke up *like this* and buy all the Louboutins that exist.
Sadly enough I am not Beyonce. I know, I am just as surprised as you are.
But a girl can dream. One day, I hope a pair of Louboutins will live in my closet but for now, I have to find some more affordable heels, let's say a lot more affordable, to wear during Christmas. Time flies and Christmas is already taking over the shops, but I won't complain because it is my favourite time of the year!

To anyone out there that has not got the money to buy an amazing pair of Louboutins, let's cry together.

To all the boyfriends out there who don't know what to buy their girl for Christmas, I am sure this post will help. ;)

Fall Outfit | Black And White Floral Skirt

The leaves are finally changing colours, yay!
I have waited the whole year for this and I am so excited, everything looks beautiful outside now! Until it starts raining every single day but never mind.

Skirts are one of my favourite things to wear!
Unfortunately, I will most of the time choose to wear a dress instead, just because it is easier and you do not really have to think about it. I love buying new skirts but they always end op staying in my closet because I can rarely find the right top to pair it with.
I have a white crop top that I really like and when I wear my skirts, I most of time choose that one to wear it with. Wearing that same top over and over again with my skirts was getting a bit boring as I do not like to wear the same thing every time.
That is why this time, I decided to buy a top directly with the skirt. I think they look great together!

My top is from boohoo.com and when I saw the cut-outs at the shoulders, I fell immediately in love with it!
The material is very soft and it keeps you warm which is a must for me, as I probably am the most coldest person in this world. (not so sure about these cut-outs keeping me warm)

My skirt is also from boohoo.com and I am actually a little bit disappointed in this one.
I love the print and I love that the skirt is also a bit thicker than regular ones but when it was washed for the first time, the material on the print started to come of and the black colour faded. The material on the print was very soft and you can still see it at some parts of the skirt but most of it is gone. It was not very expensive but I did not expect it to be ruined after washing it one time.
However, I love the look of this skirt and I definitely am going to try and search for another black and white printed one.

My heels are from Primark and the colour of them is amazing.
They are almost the same colour as my top and I think they totally complete the outfit.
The height of the heels is not too high so they are very easy to walk in.
I think these heels look amazing and I have never seen ones like these in Primark before.
I am very happy that I found them and I definitely recommend getting a pair when you see them!

Fall Outfit | Burgundy Hat

It is finally fall and I am so excited about it that I bought a hat!

I have no idea if I am going to wear it a lot, (probably not) but I really want to because it is one of those accessories that can make an outfit complete but not a lot of people wear it, and I think more people should!

I love the burgundy colour of this hat, and it also has a cute little bow on it which I really like.
This hat is from boohoo.com and so is my dress.

I love this dress so much! It has all of the warm colours in it and I think it is perfect for this time of the year.

First I wanted to wear this dress without anything over it, but that was a bit too cold so I threw on this black blazer which I got from Forever21, I much prefer it like this now!
For this outfit, I like it that this blazer is a bit longer than the "regular'' ones, it looks better with the dress this way.

For my shoes, I am wearing these short brown chelsea boots which I got from Primark.
I have searched literally  everywhere for these kinds of ankle boots, but I could never found ones that I really really liked. Most of them were okay but these ones I absolutely love and I can pair them with basically everything.

The only thing I didn't like was the wind that blew away this hat so many times, I think I have to glue it to my head next time I want to wear it.

Victoria Secret Bags

I know you keep these things. We all do.

And I can totally understand why! They are just so amazing and look very pretty.

The bags you get when you buy something at Victoria Secret.

You think it is so beautiful that you want to keep them all but the pile gets bigger and bigger. What are you even going to do with those bags?

I didn't wanna throw mine away either, so I decided to use them to decorate my room!

In the small one I've put some fake pink roses which I thought you could buy everywhere but it really took me a long time to find them.
I also cut out the Victoria Secret logo from the bigger bag and I put that in a golden photo frame.

It is very simple but I love how it looks in my room.

At least I have a reason to keep collecting them now!

Hair Treatment | Lush

"For when you don't want to look like a poodle", that made me buy this product.

I was searching for a product that would make my hair less dry and frizzy and I came across this one in Lush. It is the jasmine and henna fluff-ease hair treatment.

It can be used on any hair type, but particularly suits dark and red hair.
My hair is blonde and I love this product!
After i used it, my hair felt a lot better than it did before.
It is less dry and a lot softer, but it smells like meat.
I know it sounds weird and I have no idea why, but it actually smells like something you would have at dinner.
So, I defenitely recommend this product but don't use it if you have an important appointment because you are just going to feel like a piece of meat.

I was told that I could only use it once or twice, and then get a new one.

But I actually used it four times untill there was nothing left.
For a good result, you have to use it regularly. I think I used it once in two weeks.
That's when my hair got all frizzy again. (everyone with curls would understand)

Besides the smell, it is a really good product and absolutely worth the money.

If you are looking for something that helps you with your dry hair, then I recommend to try this one!

This hair treatment cost £12,50 for 220g.

You can find it in any Lush store or on their website www.lush.co.uk

p.s nothing wrong with poodles though

Moving To England

There comes a certain point in your life when you know something is going to change and you are not sure if you can handle that.

Well, this is mine. Moving to another country.

Since I was born, I've lived in The Netherlands. I have built up my life there. Now I'm sixteen and everything has changed.

A few years ago, my mom met someone and they immediatly fell in love. Unfortunately he lived in England and we were still somewhere in the north of The Netherlands. They didn't see each other very often but they knew it was worth waiting every time.

Years past and they were still very in love. It was time for a change.

A big one.

Our house was sold and in the beginning of July, my mom, sister and I moved over to England.
I didn't want to move at all but sometimes you just need to accept that you can't change it.
Because it was still summer holiday, we had enough time to sort things out in the house and make our rooms pretty.
When all of that was done, my sister and I flew back to The Netherlands for 2 weeks to see everyone again.

Now being back in England, I've tried to find a job but I'm still searching. Most places are looking for someone over eighteen. Tomorrow is my first day of school. I'm a bit nervous but also very excited because one of my subjects that I chose is product fashion design.

My dad, the rest of my family, my boyfriend and my friends still all live in The Netherlands and I miss them a lot.

Although I will go back to The Netherlands as often as I can, my life is now here and I need to focus on that too.
So I hope I'm going to meet nice people here as well and make some friends. Everything will take time but we will see what happens.

Here I am, starting a new chapter in my life.

My Dream Coat | Ted Baker

Never ever had I expected to be this happy with a coat, but I am.

Last month I was in London and I went to the Ted Baker store. I saw this amazing coat for fall and winter and I really wanted to have it but I knew I couldn't, so I left the store with a broken heart. (I am not exaggerating on this)

Then this miracle happened...

Earlier this week, I went shopping with my mom and my sister and I had promised myself not to buy anything. (Like I always do)
I wanted to save my money to buy new make up but that turned out to be
 something different...

We went to the Ted Baker store and I saw my coat VERY ON SALE.
Although I wanted to save my money, I couldn't stop myself and bought it directly.

Do you know that moment when you see something and you know it's made for you?

That was exactly how I felt when I saw my coat.

It's a short wrap coat in this beautiful camel colour, which I think is perfect for fall and winter.
It's also very warm without looking like a thick coat.
The inside has these amazing looking colours, I find it very unique. Although it's only the inside and other people don't see it, I think it's a great detail to the coat.
I am looking for a scarf that goes well with it so if you have any recommendations please let me know!

Fall | Shoes

Time to change your closet from summer to fall!I always get so excited about this! I love to shop for fall clothing items. You can wear so many things again instead of just a swimsuit.Don't get me wrong I do love summer! I still wear my cute summer tops but now I throw a nice leather jacket over it. I think the things you should focus on if you're shopping for fall are shoes.Fall is the time of the year when it's raining all day, but you still need to go outside ofcourse. And when it's raining so hard, everyone is looking down to the street.Nobody can see your cute outfit now but they do see your lovely shoes! That's a good reason to look up to someone and see how they are dressed.(you want to make sure that your shoes will survive the rain)My favourite pair of shoes for fall this year:

I love these shoes so much! they basically go with every outfit.
I think the belt is a nice detail and you don't see it very often.
Also, they are pretty easy to walk in because the heel is very big and the sole has enough grip so you don't slip.

I bought these on www.invito.com

The only thing you need to do now is grab your cute umbrella and you are ready to go!
