Lovely lace

How much I would sacrifice just to take good blog pictures is insane, it was freeeezing outside but here you go, some pictures in this lovely lace dress! (which is not warm at all but still pretty)

I bought this mini dress from Zara as I found the lace sleeves just so gorgeous. It is on the 'can I wear it can I not wear it' line but I'd say it is definitely acceptable with some black tights underneath which are a must anyway this season.
The dress has a high neck with some ruffled lace at the top and I just think this is a little black dress with so much detail. I would wear this for everyday-style with the knee-high boots I am wearing here or to go out with some high heels and that is what I love about this dress, it is perfect for every occasion!

Onto these beautiful boots from Kurt Geiger, they are so comfortable to wear even though they have heels which is such an advantage, I could wear these everyday but I do not want to ruin them with all this rain that has been going on in the UK.
Kurt Geiger can be a bit on the more expensive side sometimes but it is just a matter of searching for the right deals at the right time because these boots only cost me £50 on offer. For a pair of high winter boots with such a good quality I'd say that is a pretty good deal. I was lucky to find my size which is the only problem with waiting for sales but it is definitely worth the risk and the wait.

I love the combination of the short dress with high boots and I will be wearing this a lot together! Especially with a dark red lipstick it is the perfect autumn/winter outfit!

Insanely cheap make up brushes

A make up brush set for less than 5 pound?!
I purchased these rose golden beauties on eBay about a month ago and they just arrived. It takes awhile for shipping but I really liked the ''unexpected expected'' package just because I almost forgot that I ordered something so long ago. Of course brushes insanely cheap like these are not comparable to brands like Sigma, MAC or Zoeva but for this price it was worth the risk of quality. Honestly I just wanted to see how a brush that is less than 50p is when it comes to material and quality, I was very curious if they would actually work even it was just a little bit. I tested them whilst doing my everyday make up routine for the past week to see if it would turn out a lot different than normally. So, some brushes are absolutely useless but there are a few that are actually not that bad and that I will keep using. I really like the blush brush as it uses all the product and it does not stay on the brush itself. I also think the blending eyeshadow brushes are pretty good! (again, I am not comparing to the MAC 217 but for this price, pretty good.) Along with the powder brush for setting my under-eye concealer, these are my favourites out of this set. Even if they are not all very good, only for 4 or 5 of the brushes it is already worth this money.
They are a bit on the smaller size so I would recommend these for travelling, or just for in your handbag if you keep a small make up bag in there.

I still cannot believe that this 8 piece brush set only costs £3.79, you can find them here.
Personally I think they are already cute enough to buy just for room decoration!

NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick | push up

After seeing all the pictures on Pinterest of these beautiful liquid lipsticks, I finally got one! I decided to go for the colour 'push up' as I thought that would suit me the best. Now, I already fell in love with NYX' soft matte lip creams, especially because they do not dry out my lips or feel uncomfortable whilst still being matte. The lingerie lipsticks however, are a lot longer lasting than the soft matte lip creams, dry even more matte and are VERY pigmented but they dry my lips out and are not comfortable to wear at all. It is okay when I put a thick layer of lip balm underneath but still, I wished they had find out a way to make them less drying but still this matte.
This liquid lipstick is a bit hard to touch up as it will look a bit of a mess and it is easier to take it off first, and then add a new layer. However, since it is so long lasting that kind of balances it for me.
To be honest, the result when using this lingerie liquid lipstick is gorgeous but you have to be willing to sacrifice getting some dry lips. I really wished that the formula was different but I want to be completely honest on this blog! My hands still keep reaching for this liquid lipstick A LOT because I love it when I put it on, I just kind of regret it after awhile because my lips already start to feel a bit more dry during this time of the year when it gets cold outside, I should not actually make that worse. (but I can't help it, it's just so pretty!)
I know there is a bit of a mixed feeling going on here but I hope I am not the only one who experienced this with the NYX lingerie lipsticks. Also, I would love to know what your favourite liquid lipstick is!

Getaway break to Fuerteventura

As school and work and just life in general can be very stressful at times, I absolutely loved the idea of a little getaway break from everything. My family and I went to one of the beautiful Canary Islands; Fuerteventura. We stayed for a week at the Magic Life hotel whilst we enjoyed the beach and swimming pool every single day. Normally, our family is much more adventurous and we would see as much as we can of places we visited. However this holiday was specifically meant for relaxing! And by that I mean doing nothing all day apart from reading, sunbathing, swimming and enjoying the buffet 24/7.

Of course I had to take a picture of one of the most beautiful and meaningful art pieces I had seen on the beach. (whoever made this credits to you, I love it)

When I saw this it immediately took me back to teen wolf season 1, I hope I'm not the only one. I looked around but no sign of a werewolf there, how unfortunate.

The hotel we stayed at won my heart when I saw that they had a special place for the cats there. Offering them food, water and a whole lot of attention.

As you can probably tell by this picture of our breakfast, it was not the most healthy holiday. Yes, we did have this breakfast every day and I should feel no shame for choosing fresh warm waffles over fat free yogurt. (and neither should you!) I must say that I am trying to get back to my normal habits now that do not include five different desserts a day but I do miss all of the choices! Since it was an all-inclusive holiday, we could grab as much food as we could possibly eat and try out so many different things which I loved! I was shocked by the amount of food they prepared and were offering, there was something for everyone. Just cheese was not enough for this restaurant, no they had to have 14 different kinds of cheese to please every guest. And it worked! I really cannot complain about the place we stayed, every employee worked incredibly hard and they all made us feel so welcome and valued. If you are planning on visiting Fuerteventura and you have no idea where to stay, please check out TUI Magic Life because I can guarantee they will take good care of you. I do have to say that other surrounding hotels and resorts looked incredible as well but I can only give my opinion on this one as I did not stay in any of the others. (yet...)

Even though we planned on doing nothing this holiday, my sister and I did go snorkelling one afternoon which I posted a picture about on my Instagram: xmarlindeee. I had never been snorkelling but it was something that I have wanted to do for a really long time. It was honestly so amazing to see so many fish and just the whole ''under the sea'' world with beautiful coral and little plants, the water is so clear which makes the whole experience so much better! I definitely want to go diving one day and feel even more ''part of that world''.

I miss sitting outside at night in just a dress and wearing my beloved sandals everywhere, it is so hard to get used to this British weather again! I know I got all into the autumn spirit before I left but I think it is going to take me awhile now to get used to wearing a coat and socks again!
