Red Velvet Dreams

Can't deny the fact that I didn't feel like I stepped out of my renaissance dream after taking these pictures. This is absolutely my favourite outfit on my blog so far! I love the dreamy look of the white flare lace dress in combination with these stunning over the knee boots. Let's not mention comfortability today.

I had my eye on these beautiful boots for awhile, they are by Steve Madden and  I eventually bought them on one of my favourite websites na-kd. They are sold out there in almost every size but size 5, however more sizes are available on Zalando! (in the sale now I believe!)
They are a dark burgundy colour which is perfect for autumn and winter, the velvet looks very flattering on the legs especially since they are so over the knee!
The heel is pretty high which looks amazing but not for a full day of walking in the city! (I actually had my converse in my bag ''just in case'' and got them out immediately)

The white flare dress is from Nasty Gal. I love the look and the fit of the dress, it is such a good staple wardrobe item to have and I really want to save up for a high quality white dress. This one is not bad at all but it is a little bit see through, completely fine when wearing nude lingerie but anything else would have been embarrassing!

For some reason I feel as if I should have been in Rome wearing this but for now the London exchange building will give the illusion haha!

Get your hands on a pair of burgundy knee highs and have a lovely day!

DIY pinboard makeover

When I lived at home I used to spend so much time decorating my room. All my walls were pink and one of them had this beautiful Audrey Hepburn quote written in black. I would spend hours and hours on Pinterest looking for the cutest DIY room decor. However, now I moved into student halls and although I can't complain about my room in the centre of London, it is so plain and boring! 😱
I knew that nothing was allowed to be changed which is understandable, so I tried to decorate it with a cactus and pineapples. (ofcourse)
There was just one main thing left that was bothering me in my room and that was the plain pinboard!
Time to change it up and give it a diy makeover!

I went to paperchase, the best stationary store, and since the academic year had already started everything was on sale! I picked up different patterned wrapping paper to stick all over the pinboard. I didn't want just one colour so I divided the space into a few rectangles and used ribbon and washi tape to cover the edges. I found a few cute postcards that I used as decoration as well as some letter stickers.

I'm so happy with end result, I know it's not at all perfect aligned but that's the point! It has to look fun and creative and that's so easy and quick to do!

Let me know what you think and if you're going to give yours a makeover too!
